Ciao a tutti! Yes I'm hurrrr. Well let's get started on what has been going on and upcoming things from me. A bigger post, yes but I like do whatever.

Thank you to Nicole from Latino Post for writing a feature on me and my work! I feel like I came somewhat out of the closet with this one because I'm finally comfortable revealing my age.

http://latinpost.com/articles/4209/20131202/jorge-cruz-an-artist-unafraid.htm

Sometime I also found out Resident Advisor reviewed Screamin' Rachael: Queen of House (the album that I put together) and one yay for a review, two yes it wasn't the best review but these were all issues I knew people would have with the release which is exactly the point of the release being put how it was put together. I'm not saying the reviewer was wrong or w.e but it proved the exact points that Rachael and I discussed would be being brought up when it was time for people to talk about their opinions on this album. Luckily for every so-so review 3 great reviews topped that one. The only thing I will say about this is that first off, thank you for even taking the time to write anything, and second thank you for validating exactly how I thought this album would be reviewed by some. But again, everyone has their opinions and no beef no foul. I'm more happy to have a review from RA :)

Speaking of the album, due to who knows what I did not design nor did I put together the EP vinyl which accompanies this release which I put together but I'm happy that my project has an accompanying vinyl to go along with it because I love this proj so much! It will be coming out in february and below are pics of it.

Also I designed the new Trax t-shirts with technical help from Boyfriend <3 I'm so happy these are finally out because I was so sick of having shirt with like 5 different logo designs. Finally one uniform shirt, which is also now fully being distributed professionally and being sold around the world [via Sean Kingston]

Also Alina from Belarusian magazine 34mag.net interviewed me and about my work. You'll have to google translate this one tho. Super beautiful layout on this one btw! And super proud of what I said in the interview here is something I said, "In high school teacher Mexican told us, referring to all the "brown" children: "If you're different, you need to try twice as hard to be the best. Because from the very beginning you are not perceived as equal. " Can you imagine? So educated generations of Hispanic children in the U.S. - with a sense of worthlessness. Most of your life and values do not mean anything, you need to work hard to be respected more." -- this of course is the google translation and I even brought up Tyra Banks but the idea is there and I do not remember verbatim what I said, lol

and then in case you didn't know I am learning Italian and I started posting videos on youtube on my progress and stuff.

and finally a huge announcement regarding my website! I will be removing the existing website and creating a brand new one with a much different design aspect as before. I can not believe it has been four years already! and whoah has it gone through a bunch of changes. The address will still be the same (monamiejorge.com) but you can view the website as is until the 24th of January. After a new era will begiiiiin.

Below is one of the older main menus that I had. lol

things for 2014: my book, more monamiejorge†apes, and who knows!

on the left 2011, on the right this autumn 2013

Mainly I am writing this out of response to a basic idea that seems to be floating around not only in the news but also through our American government, our memes and honestly now the world. While the idea of course is not new, considering the fact that we live in 2013 and I have not heard this discussed on the news through this light – I feel like I should be the one to do it. I just want to write as a caveat that I have a very specific way of writing, which is conversational and will omit many commas, etc. Mainly because how I write is very free form I am adding this here now because many people will aim at discrediting my point or message due to grammar or whatever.

Fat people are not the only unhealthy people on this planet. In fact I would counter that idea by saying that in fact many people who are overweight may or may not be healthier than a slim person. Is this true for many, no, and is this true for the majority of obese people? No. But the discussion right now seems to weighing in on obesity as opposed to overall health. As if there is this idea that somehow someone losing all their excess weight will grant them a key to a healthier life/lifestyle. And this idea is not only prevalent in our American culture but also is running through Mexican news outlets, and even was spoken about through Italian radio a couple days ago.

So what does this mean? It means that we are fat-shaming. Fat-shaming means we are targeting one group of people and pushing the idea that these people are more or less walking tubs of illness and pushing the idea that these people and their lifestyles are costing us money, energy, and resources. While again, omitting the fact that a person who is slim may or may not be as unhealthy or even unhealthier. And the reason why I am writing this and discussing this is because I’m sick of hearing people speak about “getting healthier” when in reality this is code for “I’m going to exercise until I lose the amount of weight desired and that’s that”. True for all? No. But again, the minority in these matters is pretty much non-existent in our everyday discussions about health.

My story about how I went from a kid who was slim, then wasn’t and then eventually even managed to look the way I did (you can clearly see how unhealthy I was. Yes unhealthy, my skin color, my face and my body were bloated, not fat. Bloated with sickness.) Albeit, I did not know that at that specific moment in time – at least not entirely. I think many people would like to say that I ate a lot more than other people but honestly that is far from the truth and the reality here is in many ways one of those mysteries of life. Because I would sit a lunch and hang out with friends and look at how much more people ate and they managed not to gain any weight the way I did. I remember through high school I was averaging a weight gain of about 20 pounds for two years before I exercised one summer and then gained 20 pounds again my last year of school. And for a fact I know that many of my counterparts were not any different in their lifestyles than I (meaning they weren’t necessarily running after school or in sports. Some yes, but not all). So I ate pretty much just like any other person, if not less, but I still gained weight. One summer through my junior year I decided to “lose weight” and I did, 20 pounds, all of which came back because once I achieved my goal I stopped working out.

After High School I went to college and managed to stay around the same weight but I became very unhealthy. I was not eating regular meals, all my meals were meat-centered (to fill up because I honestly had little to no time to eat. Err, more like I didn’t make the time) I smoked, drank, had an awful sleeping schedule, and barely drank any water. I also managed not to eat any vegetable or fruit for the most part. And here is where things became interesting – I was starting to notice a significant change in the biology of my person. My mind was becoming weak, it was becoming hazy and I remember at some point through the end of my junior year in college that I was feeling very alone, emotional, to the point where I did not want to be with anyone. My body told me it just wanted to be home but I made myself go to things, and it was like that painting of the bar maid looking into the crowd. I was just staring at the people around me but I was not being able to connect, I was not able to feel like I was a person anymore. I felt like I was for lack of a better word, a ghost. I was someone who was just passing through the streets but not really feeling human anymore. I did not realize what I was going through at that moment but it was depression.

After college I came back home to work and managed to do a lot of things but what was happening to me outside of my success was dark. I was living a life where going to get McDonald’s in the middle of the night was routine. I was existing off of fast food, a lot of meat, and living with depression (of which I did not realize). I would wake up very late in the afternoon, sit all day on the computer working (yes, literally), literally not leaving the house whatsoever unless it was to go buy something to eat then I came back sat some more and did this for almost one two years. Yes, please note that I omitted my personal hygiene because it was more or less non-existent. I was living on the computer and living off of coke and meat and fries. I would wake up with a tingle in my arms and a stomach that was hard, yes stomach, not “belly”. I would have the most awful breath but the odor was not coming from my mouth. It was in my stomach as if something was rotting in there. The days would pass me by and suddenly nothing or no one made me feel anything. I was just melancholy. I had no emotion, I was a mope.

Everything changed towards the end of 2011 when I knew that whatever I was living with was too much to handle anymore. I would just cry for no reason sometimes. Or at least feel this overwhelming feeling of the inevitability of death looming over me. It was becoming this obsession in my mind. I was counting the time, counting the days. This was the time when I was releasing my first album and all I could see was haze. Nothing was pulling me out and no one knew what was going on until after I realized that I had sunk into the lowest hole that I could, after my brother’s 18th birthday. By this point I was barely even able to stay awake. The party was going on and all my thoughts were centered not on the party but on the fact that one-day it would end. The night ended and I sat on the computer and began to have this weight on me, this emotion that I could not control and the pain was unbearable I contemplated ending it. I called the suicide hotline and they tried to ease my pain. Told me to go to bed and I did and the day after I knew it was too much and that I needed to know what I had. I needed to know what exactly I was going through.

Of course being one of many uninsured Americans I did not have the luxury of being able to go to a doctor. So I googled it. I began to realize and understand that I was living with depression for almost over 3 years. And from there I began to realize that what I was going through was not the “normal” human condition. It was my body becoming more and more unbalanced as I allowed the years to progress. While I did manage to be somewhat active via work and what not, the reality is that I was forcing myself at those points to be human for my own sake. This is an ability of which not many people living with this condition even have, and I want to note that this is my experience and I in no way wish to speak about anyone else’s experience nor am I saying this is the only way or that this is the sure fire way to get out of this.

So naturally what I did was call my dad and ask him if he was sad all the time and I confessed to him that I was living with depression and that I wanted to start going to the gym. Two people from my graduating class had committed suicide from the pills they were given and so I made an agreement with myself: I was going to try holistically restoring my body as much as I could and if within one year I saw no progress I would be willing to go to the doctor and ask for medication. While I researched everything about depression I began to realize that many of the most basic human functions could cause a bodily misbalance. This means: not drinking enough water, not exercising, not eating properly, not getting enough sun, and not getting enough proper sleep. All things I did not do.

For me all these things happened at once, and very very very rapidly. So I decided to begin to workout and even through my workouts sometimes with my dad he would see I was literally and physically pushing myself to stay awake. I would be doing floor exercises and having my body tell me to just go to bed. My body would over think the thoughts of time passing in the shower. I would try to live and my mind would try to work against me but I knew I could not allow my mind to get the better of me and so I worked my body out to the max. My diet changed, I began to eat a lot more vegetables and fruits and I also began to drink water regularly. Now I am not going to pretend like I had an overnight turnaround and actually it took I would say many months before I could say I had felt progress but it happened slowly but surely it happened. The thoughts stopped, the feeling of rotting left. My breath no longer reeked of oil and meat and I began to workout every single day but only by doing things that I loved like yoga, cardio and zumba. I began to understand that what happened to my body was due to living a lifestyle that was unsustainable and that luckily I managed to escape out of at a young age as opposed to what happens to too many people when they are in their 40’s. I was realizing that this thing that I was doing was not something I could stop after the feelings left and my body felt right again – I realized that this was a lifestyle change and something that I just naturally adopted. Yes, even if it was forced onto me as a means to cope with the illness that in many ways I gave to myself.

Since the end of 2011 I have not stopped working out and eating better – which means I still indulge in all the things I love but I realize that while I may eat those things I can not exist off those foods. I found a system where I began to realize that everything that went in was like a pill of sorts that overtime allowed my body to feel better. I remember that year only walking two miles and that increasing to 7 miles daily over this summer. I remember being unable to stay awake while working out to starting pilates! I remember what a klutz I was when I first started zumba but later on being called to the front of the class to co-teach. I remember being in the gym shower thinking about death and time and now just getting in and out because I have other things to do. And those are the things that I am more rewarded by than the amount of weight that I’ve lost. I love being able to be in yoga and having every week show how much more flexible I’ve become. I love being able to say that I can dance for a whole hour non-stop. I love being able to increase the amount of miles I walk and being able to also provide the exercise for my dogs. It was because of them that I realized how important exercise is. Because if you have a dog that is not having their physical requirements met they begin to exhibit signs of mental anguish, which is expressed through anxiety, which is shown in things like chewing, barking, and overall poor behavior. The dog is unable to cope with itself to the point where any energy they can exert tends to be through a negative action. This is also true for any animal in captivity. It does not take a scientist to see how an animal act in the wild (docile, happy and relaxed) vs one in captivity (stressed, anxious, and overall unhealthy). I realized I was not a machine but rather an animal. And one who has primordial needs that need to be taken care of regardless of this 21st century life that I am living. I have to make the time for myself to be able to take care of myself. And because I take care of myself I am no longer a burden nor am I in many ways a drag to be around. I can now help others by telling them my story. And so in many ways what I am saying is that the lifestyle that I once lead was not just mirrored in my life but is shown in many other’s and while we may not all exhibit the outcomes that I had, you don’t realize that how you are living and feeling or how what you carry around can be absolved by simply saying to yourself: “I matter enough to care for myself”. Because at the end of the day no one can make you push yourself on that treadmill, no one can make you eat an avocado and no one can make you drink more water – you have to do these things for yourself. And this is a point that is never discussed in weight loss because losing weight can be as unhealthy if not unhealthier if done incorrectly. Too many people starve themselves to become someone who they think they should be but in reality the goal should be for you to be able to live a life where walking a mile isn’t seen some grandiose obstacle. I never explicitly started this journey out of a desire to lose weight but I did and still am but only because this is the outcome of my actions because my body is saying “I don’t need this on me, I do not want it and it will go”. But if my body decides one day to never lose weight again and I am still “fatter” than another person so be it. But this is not something I can predict nor something that is my goal.
****a sidenote I want to mention that this life is not about omitting all the things you love, it is about embracing them in a new light!

This is why I think that if you begin your journey with the words “I want to lose weight” you should reassess what exactly your goals are and what you are aiming to achieve because the reality is: losing weight is the easy part but maintaining it or not gaining it back is the hard part. And once you do then what? Are you going to hate yourself until you lose it back? And what if you did lose the weight but smoke, drink and eat poorly – what is the real success? Life is too short to wake up everyday and hate yourself. But also being overweight can be a red flag that something is not right with yourself but also just because your weight is ideal does not mean you are any healthier than anyone else. We can all afford to go and workout for at least and hour (everyday) and eat more greens and drink more water.

mmmtay, so one reason why I started this mixtape series was to get people to 1) have creative freedom and 2) so I can get people to go outside their box -- or at least the box we perceive them to run through, publicly that is.

So as you know I work out tons and well during our walk one day I just was like OMGG who do I get to make mixtapes for me so I did what I did last time, SPOTIFYYY (set to the Cosmonaut Grecho station). I decided to invite Teen Daze ultimately because of his Young Liars remix. Why did I ask him to be inspired by heavy metal? I dnk, probably the name. It was interesting that later on while I was researching more about Teen Daze that one of his P4k's "review" (it was more of an elevated bitchfest) that the writer was making fun of the name and all this crap that had more to do about genre posers than the actual album -- so it was interesting, giving someone who makes pretty music that would play out of meadows of lilies and spring water, the chance to be inspired by heavy metal.

The mixtape, like heavy metal, and like teen feels, is so angst. It's so dynamic and it oddly enough does touch on what heavy metal is, to me, at least. Cuz you know, even though the sound is all hard the lyrics, if they were set to an acoustic set and sung by Michelle Branch would be all feel -- like how can you even hold all these feels(´_`)

I love it, it made me feel, even when I listened to it while biking, and it made me remember, especially towards the end how at the end of one of my episodes all I wanna do is rage. Which kinda reminds me of my friend Alex who told me she likes being punched in the face. Which is why she likes to be in mosh pits.

Catch Teen Daze in Chicago Saturday October 12 at Beauty Bar! I'll be there, so come squeeze my butt *teehee*

In the beginning I was one of those people that thought that somehow there was some sort of way to become, or at least, create art. Of which is total shit. The only real way it to constantly express yourself and to also allow yourself to live and maybe sometimes not do something "creative". Sometimes you have to absorb and gain to be able to express. What can one express if there is nothing happening to you, vero? So this kinda leads to the lateness in my posts but really I've only been late a week or two, 10 days to share our EP to be exact but yes it is true -- so much can happen in 10 days, let alone one minute or 2 seconds.

So for me this EP really captured for me just emotions I was living and dealing with that would in many ways sound explicitly deranged if spoken out but luckily Boyfriend and I somehow in someways communicate with each other even if I can be extrely unfiltered, with no censor bar, as life should be. Becuase if we all want to censor our true feelings we are therefore invalidating a flow of information and ideas as well as experiences. So for me this EP, while I have my many thoughts on would rather have each person listen to and of course make their own judgements on it. I'm so proud of both of us in the success that we have had and even if nothing ever happened I would be so happy to be able to list off the things that have occured to us. We will continue to work but for now this is our EP. And yes, the album cover looks effed up above, it looks like it does below

danke schön to: the illuminati, Ophex, Teenage Tasteless, our fans, and Embody <3

So this was the bonus track that I was talking about before in this post for the Screamin' Rachael: Queen of House album. So I designed the vinyl for it and I also made the album cover for the digital store which mirrors the b-side of the album. The pressing plant was originally against the b-side and later on I learned they did not want the vinyl to be colored. Both of which I obviously implemented for the design. The vinyl sold out, duh. You can find both things online.

Okay so basically after I put out that Joe Smooth mixtape for the 25th Anniversary (in 2010) I heard one of Rachael's songs on the tape ("Dance All Night") and I was HOOKED on it, as I usually am (am I the only one who will listen to one song for days, hours?). From there I obviously started to know more and more music mainly because I was archiving all the music onto bandcamp and so when I listened to "Love Is In The Air" at some moment in time I just had to put this album together. I didn't even know her other music at this point but that's me, I see one thing I like and I try to make a platform or something so it can be appreciated by everyone!

I've recently realized that I've been like this since I was like 5 and controlling/playing that Christian Castro CD for one of our dinners with family friends, and then they went "Ohhhhh" and I guess since then I've been hooked on the idea of showing and telling. I had obviously some previous things happen but that one really stands out, as well as the time Elisa and I went to a Halloween party where I was online in the beginning talking to an oinline friend from Brown that I met on Camfrog. I was bored, and wanted to make the night special for myself. So I took over the music, and I honestly felt like it was my party because previously they were playing some lame music (like frat rock) and everyone was just sitting on the couches and shit. The party was super tho because they had decorations, and food (themed food) so I just took over the stereo with my then iPod touch. Let's just say, the euphoria of 1) making a party 2) playing Dirty Sanchez's "Youth In Asia" to a mixed crowd and having them go wild was just enough to make my Halloween experiences. Later I cuddled for the entire train ride from Addison to Congress with a super cute boy I met that night who had a girlfriend (who was ditched for me and was literally in the next train car) but that it neither here nor there.

The point is my life was built up to do things like this for a while. So then I put out the 25th Anniversary Collection (of which the album was curated by me) at this point I had expressed that I wanted to put her album together but obviously when the time was right, and when I felt like it -- I just can't perform if I don't feel like it. So obviously they nagged me once in a while about it, and at that time there was no real direction as to where it was going to go, or what it was going to be -- it could have been a new album mixed with music from her catalogue; it could have been an album of just new studio music, w.e! The point is that there was no direction and I had yet to put any work into it, but it was in the back of my mind.

So in the summer of 2012 I put together SUMMERTRAX because I heard Rachael's song "Extacy" and at that same time "Starships" was out and I was like I want a summer album, so I did, and "Extacy" was my "Starships" (meaning it was like a summer jam). Which later was chosen by XLR8R as a free download and later became one of the top most downloaded songs of 2012. At this point I only really knew maybe 10 songs of hers but I was determined to get the songs I loved of hers the time of day.

So as the year began to wind down I began asking for music and Rachael kept giving me the same stuff on cd's (at this time I could not back out from putting the album together, and I really didn't want to because the songs I did hear were just like homagah!) but I also realised that maybe the album would be only 10 tracks or something -- I would never just put out to put out. Fortunately, or unfortunately I had problems with my laptop at the very end of the year and then Rachael gave me hers (gurl needs to work!) so she gave me her laptop to work, and I of course just looked through her iTunes (maybe we did talk about the fact that she only gave me the same music over and over again; and at one point I even asked her to give me vinyl so I could pick music out of) the point is that once I opened up that iTunes it was gold, GOLD! From there I literally at first began to scan solely for her music but the files were so unorganized that the task became somewhat very daunting, but work is work, haha. I ended up just pulling (I like to have a very fashion-ey, artistic way of thinking about how I work. It's like I think of how people would pull a bunch of coats or dresses or photographs at once and then widdle them down) the songs and loaded them onto my iPhone (it was winter at this point) and took my dogs behind the offices behind this are by where I live and just listened. Already I knew it was going to be crucial to put these in a very specific order because it was very jarring to hear them the way I did and also even some of the songs that I love now I thought nothing of originally because of the way they were jsut randomly placed to other songs. "Love Is In The Air" was always the album opener tho (gurl I take that Michael Kors advice [via Project Runway season 1, holla Wendy!] when it comes to opening a show -- in this case an album). So from there it was pretty easy to just Anna Wintour the shit out of it. Yes, no, def no, and hell no-ing things and I really put the album together more stylistically as opposed to having it be a narrative or trying to tell a story (of which I did on the 25th Anniversary Album, and SUMMERTRAX). I mean I put everything out stylistically but sometimes I sacrificed or added certain songs to enhance the narrative I was going for like for the 25th Anniversary album which was really about my depression/ how I felt the label was at that moment in time and about displaying black avant-garde music I chose songs based on their names. Songs like: "Help", "I've Lost Control", "Time Marches On", etc.

So w/ this one it never was about me wanting to tell a specific story, just a great sonic record but maybe it was my unconscious or something -- but I did put the album together in a way that tell Rachael's life. Like the first songs are about partying, then life after the party (sex) and then about real life struggles, etc. That is obviously a very condensed way of saying how Rachael's life was but you can ask her more about it. We literally in April had a discussion at her table and without provoking the conversation or anything gelled exactly how I had put the album in order (maybe I'm telekinetic).

At the very end before the final version of the album was submitted by me I was still combing through her iTunes to make sure I didn't miss any songs (I had, of course) so I ended up literally clicking through every single song and ended up finding "Joy", "Let's Play House", and maybe a couple more -- can not remember but those really stood out because I can't imagine not having them in the album. At that point also the album needed to be filled it was kinda bare (it had more than 20 songs) but it needed padding, I knew the album needed more so clicking on every song was great! Also this is how TransTRAX (another comp coming out this year) was born. Because naturally I ran into songs where I went like "oh hey gurl, what?!" and so thats that.

Okay so when I first started out I was honestly just wanting to do the art for everything from posters, to albums -- I had no interest in running a label, putting out music, etc. While that was nice I felt like I needed to give my art a platform to properly be displayed. This means: Basically if I am going to be part of something it was to be at a certain level, especially if it going to 1) have my name on it 2) if it is going to have my art on it. So this thinking led to me basically running the label publically while Rachael did all the defending and serious work behind the scenes. I just wanted to be part of something I would be proud to have my name on, and with no one else there I just ended up taking over many things. I'm saying all this because it has a lot to do with how I branded this album.

I knew this album was fantastic, and I knew it could go two way if the press shots, the album cover, and the press were not up to par. Some may think that why do all that work? Well I just spent a large amount of time trying to build the house now I need cute furniture inside of it, you feel me?

The album cover was born out of me just playing with this photograph of Rachael's that was on her page on Facebook. and then I just decided to being painting it, somewhere in the haze. Maybe because I put the album together, I just had a natural reaction to it with my hands. I don't know because I have no solid reason as to why it is that, or why I chose to paint, etc. It just came out of me.

Later on in April I knew I needed to have the proper press shots for this album because at this point how can you have 1) an amazing album 2) an amazing cover and then come out with lame-o press shots. So I shot them when I stayed with Rachael over at a park near Lake Point Tower next to Navy Pier. In the beginning the lighting was all crazy and we were about to leave but then the magic happened. I also, as many of you know, have become a makeup lover (paintingggg) and nails, and so I did that and styled it! (wow so many hatssss, haha) Maybe I am OCD, but it's my work godamnit![Willam reference]

The at night we shot the "punk" looks and I also shot the promo video (hell no, I won't not have one. every project I've made thus far has had one). Yet again, makeup'd and styled it, as well as shooting and editing. I don't have a factory of people working for me a la Jeff Koons. This was shot on the third floor garden at Lake Point Tower facing the southside.

So then Rachael had worked on the bonus track with Todd Terry (errrrr….. he made his own Mixes, or something) and so I also designed that vinyl but because it was a bonus track and not really a song that was part of the album like the others *** a bonus track usually is the oddball track in an album that is chosen for many reasons. Because it didn't fit (stylistically, time-wise, the artist wanted it on there, etc.). Hence why that was on there. So I made the vinyl a complete opposite as to what the album is like. I said red-on-red vinyl because what's sexier than a dripping red vinyl? amirightorwhat? and then we ended up having a two face design mainly because why just have one design when we can have two?!! The backside mirrors the single's digital cover. also I chose red because the scale of the vinyl sticker will look hotanga!

Also I forgot to mention!!!!! SO I ended up asking Rachael somewhere along the lines to please write her "logo" because when I was originally playing with the picture I obviously went straight for Helvetica but that did not work. So for the font for everything for this album I used her scanned writing. Later on when we were getting ready for PR they wanted to know more about her and Rachael is not the best typer so she wrote her story. Originally it was just 16 pages, I later turned this into a book (a book too, omg what?!) where I asked her to finish off the story. At some point Rachael came to where I live because she was going to a photo shoot in the sorrounding area and so I had her drop off clips (oh yeah I also made her a tumblr using a template because like I said the branding is an overall experience, it all has to go. eyeshadow, to shoes, to earrings, lol) that were going to be uploaded on there and also photographs to be on there. So I took the time to look through all those boxes and things at some point and made the book.

We were supposed to have a sampler vinyl which contained six songs from the album come out with the releases but shit happens. and this is what I had designed for that. Again two face design :) and this was supposed to be on a transparent vinyl.

This post was really about branding and about the album so in a different post I'll post things like soundcloud stream and reviews we've gotten, etc.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention: I also made the promo's that were sent out. We did not have physical cd's made so of course I was not just about to burn songs onto any CD. I obviously chose that the promo's have the tracklisting mirroring that of the album. So it was the first couple of songs, and then I made little cards along with stickers! I love these memorex writable cd's (they're sold as printable) but they are the perfect way to be able to write on them. I handsigned each CD, there were supposed to be 3 types of signatures to indicate in what order they were being burned and all this other stuff. But gurl, I've already forgotten. Signed each of them in milky penssssss.
